STEP 2: REMOVE ALL THE EXCESS PAINT FROM THE ROLLER
Paint rollers are ideal paint-soaking materials that function as a highly capable paint sponge. Using your putty knife, easily scrape away all of the excess paint from the roller. Place the roller perpendicular to the paint bucket and start from the outer edges, allowing the paint to fall off and into the bucket.
STEP 3: DETACH THE ROLLER FROM THE FRAME
Hold the roller with your gloved hands and slowly detach it from the handle. For a new look, clean and dry the handle with a brush, liquid detergent, and warm water. Allow the handle to sit aside to air dry.
STEP 4: CLEAN AND RINSE THE ROLLER
Take a fresh batch of warm water and immerse the roller in it for the detergent to completely soak. Allow it to sit for 10 minutes before massaging the roller with your hands to remove any excess paint or dirt. Allow the paint roller to dry naturally or with a dryer.
STEP 5: CLEAN THE PAINT TRAY
The paint tray must be cleaned with a brush and freshwater. Clean the paint trays with the detergent. Wiping down the edges may take a few minutes since the paint dries fast and it may be difficult to clean it right away.
